Would you like to get things done and contribute to the well-being of the community? The role of a Councillor is very wide-ranging, from discussing planning applications and supporting the village, to improving local issues. If yes is your answer, our community needs you.
If you would like to serve as a Councillor please apply, in writing or by email, to the Clerk (details below), providing brief background details and stating why you would like to join the Council by Wednesday 15th January 2025.
To qualify, a person must be a British subject, aged over 18 years old and an elector, must have resided over a year in the Melsonby Parish boundary or occupy as owner or tenant any land or premises therein, or have their principal or only place of work there, and must not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor.
