The Community Speed Watch team are now up and running. Over the coming weeks our fantastic volunteers will be out and about around the village at different times and locations with speed recording equipment. Any vehicle observed to be speeding will be reported to North Yorkshire Police who will decide what course of action to take in each case. Hopefully we will see a reduction in traffic speeding through the village. Please give them your support. Thank you to our volunteers who have been continuing to monitor speeding vehicles through the village. The information is forwarded to North Yorkshire Police each week who then take the appropriate action. Stuart Priestley who is co-ordinating the scheme in Melsonby has put together a document showing statistics from monitoring which has taken place between 19th May and 20th July which makes interesting reading.
