Grants available from the Cockin Trust for young people in Melsonby

Are you a young person, or the parent of a young person under the age of 25 living in the parish of Melsonby?

The Cockin Trust is a Melsonby Charitable Trust that awards small amounts of money to eligible young people for a grant towards a range of projects.

The Trust has previously awarded funding for sporting equipment; music classes and instruments; help with costs for further education including books; funding towards school trips and much more.

Awards are available both for individuals, and for those in charge of groups or societies where village youngsters participate. Grants have previously been given to Melsonby School; The Friends of Melsonby School and Barton Scouts.

Applications are now being accepted!

If you need financial help for similar projects you can get an application form from the secretary, Gail Smith, or have a word with any of the Trustees. You can apply even if you’ve had a grant from us before. The form can be downloaded below.

The closing date for applications in 2022 is September 30th. The Trust will meet shortly after this date to consider applications.
