CHANGE OF START DATE NOTIFICATION OF ROAD CLOSURE – C1 Back Lane Moulton

North Yorkshire County Council will be undertaking highway drainage works on the C1 Back Lane Moulton.  The works are programmed to start on Wednesday 9 March and finish by Friday 18 March.

Work was due to start on Monday 7 March but due to technical difficulties, works could not begin.

Due to the nature of the works and the size and number of site vehicles, the road will be closed to all traffic at the works location 24 hours a day during the above dates. Vehicles will need to follow diversion route that has been set out. On-site personnel will assist in managing access to properties and businesses within the closure.  Please be advised there may be extended periods when access will not be possible due to the nature of the works and physical constraints of the site.  Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible.

The work is part of an extensive programme and as a consequence, it is possible that some adjustment to the dates or the duration of the works may be necessary should unforeseen circumstances (such as significant weather events or emergencies on the highway network) arise.  Signs on site will show actual closure dates.

We request your assistance in the following ways:

Please contact the Customer Resolution Centre on 01609 780780 to identify any special access needs you may have during the work period;

Co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst within the works area;

Move all vehicles off the road before work starts on site each day.
