This is to inform you that the North Yorkshire County Council will undertaking essential
maintenance at Cow Lane Culvert.

The culvert is located:
Location of Bridge – Cow Lane, Middleton Tyas,
Richmondshire, North Yorkshire,
Post Code – DL10 6RW

The works are currently programmed to commence on 14/03/2022 and last for 2 weeks. The existing culvert is in a poor state of repair and is in need of essential maintenance.
Advance warning signage advising of the works will be erected on site shortly, which will also include
diversion signage. Please see enclosed plan showing the diversion route for the closure.
Access to private properties will be maintained, however the will be no access across the structure.
Pedestrian access cannot be maintained across the structure once works commence.
Operatives working on site will be observing all Government guidelines on safe social distancing.
The work is part of an extensive programme and as a consequence it is possible that some adjustment
to this start date or the duration of the works may be necessary should unforeseen circumstances
such as significant weather events or emergencies on the highway network arise. This work may
restrict vehicular access to properties directly affected but our contractors will try to assist where
possible, during the working day. Please be advised there may be extended periods when access
will just not be possible due to the nature of the works and physical constraints of the site.

To ensure the safe delivery of these works we request your assistance in the following ways:

• Please co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives
and take extra care whilst within the works area.
